MARTHA ANN

The six-deck, luxury motor yacht Martha Ann hit the water at Lürssen’s facility on December 10, 2007, complete with a deep-blue hull. Martha Ann should turn heads on the charter circuit after her delivery in May, 2008, seeing as she has an integral bar in the top-deck pool as well as king-sized-bed-equipped guest staterooms (four on the lower deck, one on the bridge deck).

Talk about stepping up to the plate: The American who took delivery of this new yacht in May previously owned a 140-footer. The yacht was code-named Shark, part of a multi-yacht deal that also included code names Nemo and Marlin. (The person who commissioned them subsequently sold each contract prior to delivery.) That also explains why she bears resemblance to the 67-meter motor yacht St. Nicholas and the 70-meter yacht Saint.

Espen Oeino, with Francois Zuretti creating the interior space in a classical style, designed Martha Ann. This vessel has all the interior and exterior finish, furnishings and fittings of a modern luxury super yacht. Special attention has been paid to design, quality and safety of materials, and overall security on board. A deep-blue hull makes her stand out in the harbor, and a sports bar/gym on her upper deck and a VIP suite on the bridge deck are among the reasons why her interior is distinctive.

With a massive beam of 12.8m she boasts extraordinary volumes for a yacht of this length. With 7 wet bars, and a circular glass elevator that services all 5 decks, this is the ideal entertainment yacht for a Mediterranean yacht charter or a Caribbean yacht charter.

The main saloon with dining areas is on the luxury yacht’s main deck. This deck also hosts the impressive lobby.

The full width Master Suite has a private entrance and an office / study with desk and 2 visitor chairs.   The dressing room/closet is forward on either side of hallway. There is a large flat screen TV and desk and sofa to port. There is also a private master site lounge with sofa, occasional table, and another large flat screen TV.

On the lower deck, guests will find 4 spacious staterooms all with King sized beds. The bridge deck has a VIP stateroom and further aft there is a full beam saloon and a cleverly designed inside-outside dining area.

As mentioned earlier, the yacht boasts a huge sports bar and gym along with a very large Jacuzzi which adorns the upper deck. Here, as with the aft deck, there are vast areas for out door relaxing and sunning and seating. There is also a large pool with integrated bar.

Two CAT 1,500kW engines power the vessel, giving this Lurssen super yacht a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,000 nm.

Onboard amenities include: at-anchor stabilizers; all tenders / toys stowed in lazarette / garage leaving all decks clear for guest living space; multiple wet bars; 3 large screen plasma televisions on outside decks; and a Kaleidoscope entertainment system throughout for easy touch screen selection of yacht’s central movie and music libraries.

There are two 24ft Nautica custom tenders along with an assortment of watersport toys including two  kayaks, two small sailboats, and towing toys.
