Motor yacht MEAMINA entered the Mediterranean yacht charter market in late 2008.  Brand new, Benetti yacht MEAMINA features elegant lines and a sophisticated interior, creating a sense of peace, calm and warmth.  The luxury yacht charter megayacht is designed for relaxing and comfortable cruising.

Naval Architect Stefano Natucci designed super yacht MEAMINA for the famed Benetti shipyard, while Italian masters Studio Massari handled interior design.  A crew of 15 will tend to a maximum 12 guests during summer Mediterranean yacht charter vacations.

The superyacht offered accommodations for 12 guests in 6 staterooms.  The master cabin is situated on the Main deck.  It is best described as a duplex suite with his and her walk-in wardrobe, a study and office with panoramic views, as well as a private lounge and relaxation area, and en suite shower and bathroom.

The VIP double cabin is located on the upper deck.   Basic amenities include an en suite bath and shower room. On the lower deck there are two double-berth cabins.  Each features a Jacuzzi tub in the ensuite bathroom.  Also on the lower deck ate two twin cabins, each with shower room en suite.

Onboard amenities include a comprehensive audio-visual system, grand piano, elevator, and gymnasium.  For watersport enthusiasts, the toy inventory includes a 7.5m Pascoe tender, as well as a 4.5m Pascoe tender, and four waverunners.

Benetti is an Italian shipbuilding company based in Viareggio, Livorno, and Fano, and owned by Azimut.  The famed builder primarily designs and constructs luxury yacht charter motoryacht vessels, and is one of the leading builders of custom superyachts, having won the Showboats International magazine”Number 1 shipyard” award six times in a row, the only yard to have done so.

Other luxury yacht charter vessels by this acclaimed builder include XANADU, AMNESIA, GALAXY, STARFIRE, LATINOU, ALIBELLA, JO, ALLEGRO, BEVERLY, QUEST, FELIDAN, SALU, LADY ROXANNE, and SARINA.

Founded in 1873 by Lorenzo Benetti, the yard built commercial vessels, including fishing boats and Mediterranean trading ships. On his death in 1914, his sons Gino and Emilio took over, and renamed the yard Fratelli Benetti. They continued using wooden construction, but now built ocean-going ships, and some private yachts. After the death of Gino in 1927, his sons Gusieppe and Girvilio took over his share, while Muarizio and Bertani assisted their father Emilio.

During World War II, the yard built medium sized military vessels in steel. After the war, and with restrictions on Italy on what she could produce militarily, the yard produced the first steel-hulled diesel powered vessel in the locality, the “Raphaelo.”  In 1954, Fratelli Benetti split its sailing and yacht business (Gino’s family), from the commercial ship building business which continues under the name M&B Benetti (Emilio’s family). Emilio had a holding in both companies, and chaired both companies.

In 1963, Emilio died and the running of Fratelli Benetti was taken over by Gusieppe and his son Lorenzo. Lorenzo was the driver of the yacht business, moving instantly from wooden to steel construction. In 1978, the yard launched Viano, a sailing yacht which on corrected times won the Admirals Cup.  In 1979, the yard launches “Nabila” for Adnan Khashoggi, which at 83 metres was the largest yacht of its time.

In 1984, the yard was purchased by Paolo Vitelli, the owner of Azimut. In 1997, operations were expanded at Viareggio to allow indoor building of superyacht vessels up to 70 meters.
