SEAZEN II
Exceptionally spacious and wide, SEAZEN II is a modern catamaran that can easily accommodate 8 to10 guests in 3 double cabins and 1 cabin with an innovative 4 folding bed system (which is an excellent solution for children).
The interior of SEAZEN II depicts Japanese style - the essential aspect of which is simplicity and minimalism. Frugal forms are displayed in brown and cream tones, with touches of muffled red. Visible structural geometry is achieved by the combination of the traditional layout of Tatami mats and decorative elements imitating indigenous Shoji screens and sliding doors.
The horizontal line of arranging the furniture accentuates the overall scheme: separate seating cushions placed in wooden frames and platform-like simple beds surround low-level tables and the bar. Sparse and carefully selected decorations greatly replenish this posh yet minimalist interior.
The ideal charter onboard SEAZEN II consists of 8 adults plus 2 children.
The crew is led by Captain Robert J. Davidson and Chef Sharon Munroe.
Robert is a Canadian Captain who holds YachtMaster/MCA 200-ton Offshore License, STCW certificate, and a PADI Rescue Diver certificate. He has vast experience as a skipper on both private and charter yachts in different sailing areas of the Caribbean, most of the Mediterranean, and the Atlantic coast.
Having also been a boat owner for over 20 years, Robert is very familiar with maintenance and all aspects of yacht mechanical systems. Robert has great communications skills and runs a well-maintained vessel with enjoyment of the guests and safety in mind. In his spare time, he enjoys scuba diving, listening to the music, traveling, fine dining, and photography.
Sharon hails from Canada and has great experience in serving as a charter yacht chef. She has recently been working onboard NITTAN II, a Swan 65, where she was responsible for menu planning, provisioning and the preparation of meals, and interior and exterior yacht maintenance.
Sharon takes an inspiration for her menus from different international cuisines. Her dishes will satisfy even the most demanding guests. Sharon is a charming and hard working crewmember. In her free time, she likes traveling, photography, hiking, sailing, reading, fitness, and cooking.
There are many advantages to planning a Caribbean yacht charter onboard a catamaran:
• Level sailing gives greater comfort and is less tiring
Cruising catamarans heel only 5 to 10 degrees under sail as compared to 30 to 45 for the average monohull sailboat. The comfort that results from this level sailing is felt many ways.
• Catamarans cruise in shallow water
Because catamarans have a shallow draft (how much water they need in which to float), you can cruise and anchor in areas that monohulls (boats with only one hull/bottom) can’t access.
• Catamarans have lots of space
There is a real feeling of space on a catamaran, from the wide cockpit where you can set up a deck chair, to the bow nets (on which you can lie and sunbathe or watch the dolphins swimming underneath).
• Catamarans are fast
Catamarans are generally faster than a similarly-sized monohull.
