Luxury Rossi Navi motor yacht SOUTH was launched by the Italian shipbuilders in 2008.  Her striking exterior lines and her modern understated interior were designed by Mauro Micheli of Officina Italiana Design.

Now, the superyacht has received one of the luxury yacht charter industry’s highest honors.  She has been nominated for “Best Interior Decoration”  by Yachts France Magazine.

Motor yacht Rossi Navi SOUTH is the second superyacht completed by this shipyard for the same owner.

The gray-hulled mega yacht is powered by twin 2,200 HP Caterpillar 3516 engines, enabling her to achieve a top speed of 17 knots.

Her main deck accommodates the owner’s suite, as well as a VIP stateroom, while there are 4 more cabins on the lower deck - 2 doubles and 2 twins.

The master cabin on this super yacht features a King-sized bed, with dresser and study.  For entertainment, there is 50′ plasma TV with Dolby surround sound, as well as an iPod station, DVD, and bar/fridge.  The bathroom boasts a full Agape Turkish bath with spa shower that features 2 types of scents: mint and passionfruit essence, plus hydro-massage with 9 waterjets and head and neck massage.

The VIP cabin is also on the main deck. It features a queen-sized bed and the same Turkish bath and spa shower found in the master stateroom. A 50′ TV with Dolby surround sound and an iPod station complete this cabin’s amenities.

There are also 2 double cabins as well as 2 twin cabins.  All cabins have en-suite bathroom with TV and DVD and all feature spa showers. This is the perfect mega yacht for a luxury Mediterranean yacht charter.

South’s Sun deck features a Jacuzzi large enough for 6 guests, plus a sunbathing area, a gym area with stationary bicycle and treadmill, and a lounge area with an iPod station, barbecue, and wet bar.

The upper deck offers al fresco dining with seating for 10, in the aft, as well as a lounge area, with dayhead (bathroom) and a forward seating area.  Of course there is an iPod station there, as well.

The main deck features a spacious lounge area in the aft, with iPod connectivity, and a well-appointed main saloon with 50′ plasma TV with Dolby surround sound and another iPod station.  There is also a day head (bathroom) on the main deck.

Music and video-on-demand are available throughout the yacht, with access to 150 films.

For her maiden year of luxury yacht charter, Captain Andrea Marcozzi from Italy leads a talented crew of 12.  Andrea was born in Viareggio and studied at the Marine Technical Institute. He has served on motor yachts for 20 years and was the captain on this owner’s previous yacht for 3 years.  He then spent 2 years overseeing the construction of the owner’s new yacht.  Andrea speaks English, French, and Italian.

The First mate is Enzo Paolini, a 31 year old Italian. Like the Captain, Enzo was also born in Viareggio and also went to the Marine Technical Institute. He began his nautical career at the age of 17.  Enzo speaks Italian and English.

Of course, many charterers feel the most important member of the crew is the Chef!  Chef Fabio Greganti is a 25 year old Italian.  Fabio received his degree at the Italian International Institute for Hotels and Restaurants. He specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, but he can also cook a variety of international dishes upon request, such as Fusion. He can also make ice cream and homemade breads, if requested!  Fabio is fluent in Italian, English, and German.
